And Whereas the more advantageous the<lb/>condition of a Friendly Guardian is capable of being<lb/>rendered, the better chance a Penitentiary-man will have<lb/>of finding a fit person to take upon him such charge<lb/>Be it enacted that the powers of a Master shall<lb/>devolve of course upon such Guardian in the same manner<lb/>as they would have devolved upon the Governor in the event<lb/>of the said quondam Prisoner's having engaged in the<lb/>Metasylum.</p><p>Art. 2. And forasmuch as the powers<lb/><note>2<lb/>-- subject to be remitted<lb/>by <hi rend="underline">Emancipatory Release</hi><lb/>or <sic>Licence</sic> --</note><lb/>aforesaid are designed for the benefit of the person at the<lb/>expence of whose liberty they are created, and forasmuch<lb/>as no greater extent ought in that view to be given to them<lb/>than such as he himself finds it necessary to allow, Be<lb/>it enacted that the said powers or any part thereof may<lb/>by Deed of Release or License, under the name of an<lb/><hi rend="underline">Emancipatory Release or License</hi>, executed as well by the<lb/>Ward as by the Guardian, be at any time remitted.</p><lb/><lb/><lb/><lb/>Art. 3. | ||

Art. 1. And Whereas the more advantageous the

rendered, the better chance a Penitentiary-man will have
of finding a fit person to take upon him such charge
Be it enacted that the powers of a Master shall
devolve of course upon such Guardian in the same manner
as they would have devolved upon the Governor in the event

Art. 2. And forasmuch as the powers
