Concert at Dr; Daniels Mr: Weggs. or others, to which they have
hitherto been invited: in Answer to these entertaining accounts
which they have given me, I have taken occasion to remind
them, how necessary it is for them to acquit themselves in such
a Manner as may do themselves Credit, since, in youth great
Care is to be taken to recommend themselves, by a respectful
attention to the families they are with, resolving, not only to be
pleased, but likewise endeavouring to Please. the only means in their
Power to lessen ye trouble they must necessarily give. Your Papa
joins in Compliments to Mr: & Mrs. Ray of Renton, whom we intend
to wait upon for a Day or two in our return from Norfolk, as it
is not in our power precisely to fix a Day, we can only say, we
believe it will be either Saturday or Sunday Sen-night, but which
ever it be, it will be after dinner, & you must assure them,
that we never eat any Supper. Our Compts: likewise to the family at
Michfield & I hope there is no Occasion for me to say how much
I am
Your Affectionate Mother
Sarah Bentham.
