Novr. 10. N.S.

St Petersburg Octr. 30. 1789

I had the pleasure to receive your Letter, and
a Letter from my much respected Friend, your Son;
which I forwarded to One Fort Siberia Post.

Agreeable to your desire I enquired of Mr
Sambouski concerning your Letter; He said He
had received One, and has sent your son's to him
some time since.

I am concerned that I cannot send you the
Justification of the Order of St George by this —
opportunity, I have the Russian printed Account,
the Translation of which is not yet compleated,
as soon as it is I will send it you. So far I
know, there are four Classes, the first Class wears
a square star (gold) on the Breast with a Ribbon
Cross the Shoulders. — 2d Class, a Star Ribbon
round the Neck, and a Cross Pendant. 3d Class
a Ribbon round the Neck and a Cross pendant
4th a Ribbon others the Button Hole of the Coat,
