but to the very Existence of our Country — is the whole of our Fleet return'd
to Plymouth, or only a Part of it - & if so what number of Ships are off
Brest, or gone to Convoy our West Indies men wch are dayly expected
home - let me know when the Fleet sails from Plymouth, & how
many they consist of - for no Credit is to be given to any thing one
reads in the Papers, wch. renders private Intelligence the more
valuable & satisfactory. I have procured some Franks by
means of our Friend Aln. Clark, but those directed to you
