If a Metasylum-man or woman<lb/><note>22<lb/>- besides indemnification<lb/>money for subsequent<lb/>felonies committed<lb/>by the Deserter -</note><lb/>having deserted shall be convicted of a felony<lb/>committed after such desertion any person accessory to<lb/>such desertion as abovementioned shall over and above<lb/>all other penalties forfeit to the use of the Governor<lb/>whatsoever the Governor shall have paid or stand<lb/>liable to pay in the name of indemnification money<lb/>on account of such felony: as also to the use of any<lb/>party grieved thereby the amount of whatsoever<lb/>damage if any shall not have been covered by<lb/>indemnification-money so paid or to be paid<lb/>by the said Governor.</p><p>Art. 23. And forasmuch as in virtue<lb/><note>23<lb/>Persons marked,<lb/>not having proper<lb/>Certificates, committable<lb/>as fugitives or<lb/>Deserters -</note><lb/>of divers provisions herein above contained every quondam<lb/>Penitentiary Prisoner will according to the<lb/>election he has made have been provided with some<lb/>instrument demonstrative of his discharge from<lb/>the said Penitentiary House, &amp; expressive of the<lb/>service in which he thereupon stands engaged: to<lb/>wit either his Metasylum Service Engagement,<lb/>his Copy of Assignment of Wardship, his<lb/>Certificate of Discharge &amp; Inlistment, as the case<lb/>may be: as also if absolutely emancipated his<lb/>Instrument of absolute Emancipation In consideration<lb/>thereof</p>
