Dear Jere
By today's Post I have recd a Letter from a Mr
Robert Hynam dated St Petersburg July 8th 1781 to —
acquaint me with the Death of poor Forster, and
also that it was hastened by means of a raskally
Fellow at whose House he lodged & boarded who had
made a property of him, and put him upon
drawing those Bills he did upon me, and to
caution me to pay any monies on them or
otherwise for that he Forster was entirely senseless, &
knew not what he did when he drew those Bills
and when he signed Will which Kellar got him
also to make in his favour. This fully justifies the
apprehensions I entertain'd when the two last
Bills were brought to me, and which I refused to
accept. Upon the receipt of this intelligence I have
thought it proper to write to Mr Brown, & give him
directions to Enter a Caveat against proving any
such Will as may be brought to the Commons.
