Expences of Prosecution
Of these several Of that general mass of ex-
Of the aggregate mass of that expense which has delinquency for its source
a considerable portion is borne by the public,
and is defray'd out of the County Rates.

receipt service and expenditure being kept in every
County by some known person or persons
such as the Clerk of the Peace or some
special Or other person specially appointed
under some such name as that of Receiver
to receive and to apply the moneys raised belonging to this fund for this purpose
under the orders of the Magistracy of the County
in Sessions, this cash stock of police information
being thus regularly kept up, is consequently,
in the event of its being called for
by proper authority always at command constantly accessible.
Through the medium of the Secretary of States
Office Your Committee have throughout the kingdom called for what
what stock of police information which the source
in question seemed likely competent to afford: and though
at the time of the drawing up this Report there
seems little probability that any considerable
part of it will have come in time enough to be made
use of by or during the existence of Your Committee, it will always remain
at the command and capable of being
printed for the use and by the Order of the House.
