Reasons for the reg prompt and regular publication
of the amount of the issue of Annuity
Notes issued.
1 First That the Bank and Members see by observing
the progress of the issue may have timely warning to withdraw their own paper out of
the circulation as the other advances — and so
not be taken by surprize.
2. That in case of the formation of a Cash Fund
by Government to for the better securing and an adequate supply for casual demands of for
hard cash, and to suffer help
apart in enabling government to dispense with the
support at present derived from the Bank, and in
case of the lending out a portions of that cash Fund
for limited periods, it may be ascertained before
hand within what period the such influx of cash is
likely to be supplied by cash received on account
of the issue of Annuity Notes.
2. That it may be constantly seen at what rate the receipt
of the Annuity note paper in the way of issue goes
on, since, which it does go on so long as it goes on at all, it can not but
serve as a effectual guarantee of their being received
without in the way of circulation.
4. That an index, and that a neverfailing and
most instructive one may thus be afforded: exhibiting
the state of the coun nation in point of wealth and prosperity,
and in measure for the influence exercised in that prosperity
prosperity by political events, as they arise.
