There is reason for not loving time. On board on of
the Hulks, the prisoners are perishing between 1/5 and
1/6th of them in a year — I have counted. It is
the habitual rate — I speak from the Reports. Their
employment is — fouling the ship, or, to

language, "keeping it clean": a task easy enough
