Poor Love lived but a few days after my arrival here, there
is not a person who has not been ill of either inflammatory
fever or ague and the ignorance of the Physicians makes
the inflammatory fever very dangerous.

It is very unlikely that I shall be able to absent myself
from Cherson till winter, butr as soon as the frost sets in
I think it very probable I may find some commission
for myself to be sent to the environs of Critchoff

I send you a whole budget of accounts out of which
Beatty should first of all make out my charges for
the goods deliver'd here. A little of your instruction
now & then will enable him & Jacob Pavolotz to manage
all business very well. I have been several days
sending off this messenger as I cannot sit half an
hour without being called off for the business of the
moment.

Shardvinioff gives money for post horses to
Critchoff & back to Cherson so that you may dispatch
another somebody from here immediately with what you think
I may be most in want of. Send us butter & other eatables a good
. The German might come if he has nothing better to do.
