<p>The profession in question being so frequently thus<lb/>
employed as a test and proof of patriotism &#x2014; of a paramount<lb/>
regard to the interests of the people and this test and supposed<lb/>

here be proposed for his guidance to him to whom those interests<lb/>
are really a paramount object of his regard.</p>
<p>1. The one is in his own instance to avoid giving utterance<lb/>
and currency to a conception thus adverse to his wishes.</p>
<p>2. The other is &#x2014; as often as it happens to him to hear this<lb/>
Instrument employed by any other hand and at the same time<lb/>
in such a way as to have a tendency to become productive of<lb/>
its decepticious affect, to embrace every favourable occasion<lb/>
of divesting it of the Clash of plausibility in which it<lb/>
is involved and holding it up to view in its hue colours; in<lb/>
those true colours in which as above it has been displayed.</p>
<p>In Goldsmiths Novel, the <unclear>licor</unclear> of Wakefield, one of<lb/>
