of the Judiciary.</p>

principal calamities to which prevention is capable of<lb/>
of being applied by the care of government are</p>
<p>1. Conflagration.</p>
<p>2. Collapsion.</p>
<p>3. Inundation.</p>
<p>4. Contagious <p>desease</p>.
<p>5. Locally seated <sic>desease</sic>.</p>

laws having <add>Legislative arrangements</add> for their object prevention of the above calamities are.</p>

particularly in towns, <add>with a view to conflagration</add> in so far as directed to this object.</p>
<p>2. Arrangement relative to the fabrication, custody and<lb/>
conveyance of gunpowder and other <foreign>explodible</foreign> substances</p>
<p>3. Arrangements relative to the custody and conveyance<lb/>
of matters susceptible of spontaneous combustion.</p>
