' | <p> Bishopthorpe June 22 1794</p> <p> Dear Sir</p> <p> After visiting some Parts of<lb/> my Diocese I am lately arrived at this Place<lb/> and I find my self <gap/> with your Letter.</p> <p> I am much mistaken if I did not<lb/> before say to you, that <sic>L<hi rend="superscript">d</hi></sic> Spencers <gap/><lb/> were concerned much more nearly the rise<lb/> that I took it for granted that the Rights<lb/> of the Sec <gap/> at all Events to take care of<lb/> and that my Contract <sic>shou'd</sic> be perfectly<lb/> passive. I have accordingly never<lb/> taken any step, except directing my<lb/> attorney Mr Boodle in Lower Brook Str.<lb/> to watch the Progress of the Bill, and<lb/> occasionally to confer with <sic>L<hi rend="superscript">d</hi></sic> Spencers<lb/> steward.
