As Mr Justice James Park in his work on this
subject has done me the honor to say I know
nothing about the matter and at the same
time has done me the further honor to quote a
passage from my Rationale of Evidence in
support of his own opinions perhaps I may not
be so far beneath his notice nor my errors so
flagrantly manifest but that at your request he
may do me the still further honor of pointing out
if not all at any rate some of them the indication of
which would be most instructive in which can it's
humbly hope that he will not confine himself to
mere vague generalities but to give to the instruction a
shape particular enough to enable me to to answer in my
conception and that of others as uninformed ill informed as myself tyros the desirable purpose

Perhaps likewise at your request when in your
eye it will be proper to make it he will do the public
the further service of furnishing answers to some
of the above questions, in particular whether it be
in accordance with his opinion that the rule
of action should be made cognosible & intellgible
to those whose conduct on pain which shall follow must

be guided by it
