New Poor House
§ 156
Feoffees to build
a new Poor House
on Lot C

And for making satisfaction to the Inhabitants
of the said Parishes of St Margarets'
and St John's or one of them for the pulling
down of the said Poor House called the
Five Chimneys as also to the poor persons
and families as present using and occupying the same
Be it enacted that so soon as a proper
spot for that purpose shall have been allotted by
the sd Arbitrators or Commissioners or Arbitrators as herein abovementioned as herein mentioned according
to this Act the powers vested in them by the said Feoffee or Feoffees
shall at their own proper cost and charges
erect or cause to be erected a good and substantial
fit and decent Building or pile of Buildings
for the reception of the said poor occupiers
taking care that in the said pile of Buildings
with the Yards, Gardens, and out-Houses
thereto to be erected the accommodation shall
not be inferior but as new as may be
equal in good point of amplitude and separtion
paration as between lodging and lodging to the accommodation afforded by
the said existing Poor House to the its said
poor Inhabitants

the several lodgings or tenements provided therein for the reception
of the said several poor occupiers shall be respectively
be not less a simple in dimension and
as nor less perfectly separated from each other than as their
several present lodgings in the said P existing Poor House
