Discarding the useless
matter

1. Indication of the distinction between the useful and the useless parts of
the stock of knowledge belonging to this part of the field of art
and science: benefit saving the time and labour at present
employed upon the useless See below

or 2. morphoscopic

2. In regard to the whole stock or say mass of knowledge included in this part of the field of art and science shewing
that it stands expressed by the
one or the other of two words, namely
alego-morphic or say form-not-regarding,
and morphoscopic or say form regarding.

2. In regard to quantity learning or say posology taken in its
totality that the shewing that of all the knowledge thereto belonging the means of acquisition consists
in the indication
of the relation that has
place between the
subject matter unknown
and sought for and
something which is already
known. See

3. In regard to the alegomorphic or say form-not-regarding
branch (to which arithmetic belongs) shewing that things

of conception is done by abridgment or say abbreviation: by
substituting to ordinary language or say discourse discourse forms of discourse

4 In regard to morphoscopic or say, form-regarding posology
or say quantity-leaving, that to the matter thereto belonging
expression may be given in either of these shapes or say
forms of modifications: namely 1. that of ordinary discourse
without the use of the figures or say graphic representations
called diagrams: that is to say in the aneudiagramatic
or say portraiture-not-employing mode. 2. that consisting
of the aplo-diagrammatic holodiagrammatic or say portraiture-employing
mode: 3. the mixt mode composed of these two modes
employed in conjunction as in the ordinary mode

1. Augmenting clearness
and comprehensiveness of
conception
2. Augmenting facility
of possession
3 Augmenting the number of
possessors.

5. In regard to the portraiture not employing or say the aneudiagramatic
mode shewing the peculiar uses exclusively appertaining to it to
the exclusion of the two other modes: namely these are It affords a clearer
as well as more comprehensive conception of the ideas or say
positions or branches of which the matter in question is composed than
can be obtained by the mixt mode. See below

2. It places develops that same matter of the obscure form or say
appearance by which form by which the greatest part of the difficulty
experience in the acquisition of the knowledge in question is produced. [+]
