§4 Board, as so soon as it shall have collected
the information sought for by the Returns aforesaid
[containing the materials for the Calendar of
Delinquency] or, sooner if said be sooner, shall, "from
"time to time at their discretion, or as often as they
"shall be therewith required, give an account of
"their proceedings, in writing under their hands and
seals, to the King's Most Excellent Majesty and
"to both Houses of Parliament"; Taken from the Commission - of - Accounts Act, 20 G. 3. c. 54.,- the Fees - of - Office - Enquiry Act, 25 G. 3 c. 19.,- and the Crown - Lands - Enquiry Act, 26 G. 3 c. 87. and shall
moreover" suggest from time to time "suggest all
"such regulations" as in their judgment shall
appear best calculated for augmenting the efficacy
or, without prejudice to the efficacy,
mitigating the severity, of the penal branch of
the Law, or any part or parts thereof, and for
diminishing (also without prejudice to the efficacy)
the expense (whether to individuals or to the
public) incident to the execution of the same .

§5 So soon as On a day to be appointed
by the Board, by advertisement in the London
Gazette, as the day on which they will be in
readiness to do transact proceed upon their business, the functions of
the existing O Hawkers and Pedlars Office,
the Hackney-Coach Office, and the Superintendent
of Aliens, to cease, and the Commissioners
of Police to be in virtue of their Offices
Commissioners for the licensing Hawkers &c &c, under
the Laws in being, touching those several respective Offices.

§6 Allowance to the Officers of the suppressed abolished offices,
as to the Officers of the Salt-Office, supprest abolished
by the last Salt-Act [38 G. 3. c. 89. §. 141.]
