Dear Sir,

I rece'd the favour of yours with great
pleasure — especially as it gave me hopes of seeing
You & your Son, in your journey to Oxfd —I shall
be heartily glad to see you both — to come by Harehatch
& Wargrave to Henley is but a Mile &
an half about —My Wife & Miss Alleine are
at Andover whether I design to go soon, but as the
time when, is indifferent to me, I wou'd gladly be
at home, if I know when you wou'd call upon
me —— I have rece'd a Certificate of
my Age, which I doubt not will give full
satisfaction & wt the other papers, I propose to transmit
you in a few days — the Minr of White-
Waltham being at Oxfd occasioned my delay—
I was extremely surpris'd tho' .. ....d, & greatly affected,
at hearing of that Dear, Sweet Innocent
leaving this world & going to a better — I do assume You, Dear Sir, that I most heartily
sympathise with you in your truly great loss,
& affliction; We must expect to meet with
