Dear Sir,
I had the pleasure to receive by the
last post the very ingenious work just publishd
by your eldest Son, I have no doubt to find great
pleasure & instruction in the perusal of it, and
I am highly sensible of the honour you do me
in sending it to me.
I rejoice to hear that my friend
in Russia goes on well & successfully - I am sure he
is a treasure to the Empress & I hope she will be one
in the end to him.
I shall very happy to see Mr Bentham
on his way thru here.
I am dear Sir, with great
Truth,
yr most obedient &
faithful Sevt
James Harris
Hague Jany 1st
1788.
