Tothill Fields Inclosure Bill
And be it enacted further enacted, it shall and may be lawfu; to & for
Governor as aforesaid, as also to and for every other person employ'd and acting
under such Governot in the superintending of the labour
of such Convicts or Prisoners, as also and increase to and for every
such Prisoner as well during the term of his or her
confinement in this Penitentiary House as at all
times thereafter mayto set up and exercise therein any
trade or business in any part of Great Britain as also
to and for every such Convict or Prisoner at any time after his or her discharge to set up and
exercise any trade or business, or at any other person to work
in any place in Great Britain although neither he or her
nor such other person have him brought up in any
such trade as an Apprentice, any law or statute
contrary thereof notwithstanding: and if any such person as aforesaid
be prosecuted for using such trade in any other Town or Place
he or she may plead the General issue, and shall thereupon [+]
