By the emancipation of Irish trade from English oppression
they had given encrease to the wealth of the people,
and to their own along with it: by the emancipation
of the Irish Parliament from the English Parliament,
they had given encrease to their own power without
giving proportionable encrease, giving encrease to the power to if any, to the power of
the people: by parliamentary reform, in so far as it
were efficient it w they would have given encrease
to the power of the people at the expense of their own:
of course it was not to be endured.
