List of the sums paid weekly from 5 Jany 1794
to 1795 both inclusive, by Mr John Lloyd
now of Brewers Green near James Street Westminster
Master Millwright, then Foreman of the work, carried
on at the expence and at the Dwelling House (with the appurtenances) of Jeremy Bentham of Queens Square
Place Westminster Esqr under the direction of his Brother
Samuel Bentham of the same Esqr, for the making of
mechanical experiments and the construction of Machinery
destined for the employment of Convicts in the <add>then intended
Penitentiary Establishment. In one column are the total
sums paid in each week respectively: in the others areb
figures referring to the pages in which those sums are respectively
entered in the original Account Book kept by the said
Mr Lloyd: which Account Book is herewith sent transmitted
to the Commissioners of the Audit Office, to serve as a
Voucher for the account given in by the said Jeremy
Bentham, respecting the expenditure of a sum of £2,000
charged upon him as imprested into his hands by the
Lords Commissioners of his Majesty's Treasury Ao1794.
