10 May 1813 §§.7 1. + 1
Panopt. Compensation Claim III Contract
§. 7 Other Rates

1
☞ To Mr Whishaw. Quere whether to revise
this Section?

§§. Rates of profit expectable from the same number
of prisoners maintained for the same length of time
at the same allowance per head, under the several different
plans of management, in other Prisons:- viz partly
as per experience, partly as per estimate.

Allowance per head per annum, £12; Number
of prisoners L1,000: Duration of Contract
Years 24 1/2; these being as above taken for abo as many data,
[it may possibly be thought to afford] some light
may it was thought, might possibly appear to be thrown on the subject
by Accounts and Estimates, such as have it has been in the Claimants
h way to collect from other prisons. The great
diffran difference in the circumstances of these several
cases, as compared with those of the principal case,
will not escape the the observation of Arbitrators. The difference in
the correspondent rates of profit will be no less conspicuous.

Six of these Accou documents of this sort — Accounts
and Estimates together — have been collected.

They may be distinguished as follows, viz.

251, 125:0.0
23,438:10:10
2|274,563:10:10
137,281:15:5
