<p>In answer to a Letter of mine to <unclear>L<hi rend="superscript">a</hi></unclear> Belgrave, of the 17<hi rend="superscript">th</hi> of December last, requesting his assistance in the proposed <unclear>Jothill</unclear> Fields Appropriation Bill, I received from his Agent, M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi><unclear>Boodle</unclear>, on the 19th of the last month, a refusal, which I took for a <hi rend="underline">dilatory</hi> one, but which, on a verbal explanation with M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> <unclear>Boodle</unclear> this day, turned out to be intended as a <hi rend="underline">peremptory</hi> one. - </p>
