My lovely Ursula! – would thou hadst not been born
or being born had never died.
I pay for trifling joys with heavy grief
By this unutterable farewell to thee
Thou hast deceived me – like a night vanishing dream
Who delights in the possession of gold – the misers mind
And vanishes – when he wakes.
So that nought remains but his anxious desire –
So hast thou done by Ursula! my daughter
Thou didst kindle eager hopes in my head
And suddenly abandoned me to my grief
And bore away with thee all my enjoyments
Bore away almost the half of my soul
And the rest remains only – only for grief if that may be said, limping after his.
There ye Sculptors! raise a carved monument
And write this Epitaph.

Ursula Kochanowski her hero – her father's love
Or rather his tears & lamenting
Thou has done against a or – my will & death
I should not have wept her – she should have wept for me.
