To this Stanislaus: 'John, you are full
of wisdom – but you don't know what it is
to love a child – For what is it that a father
spends his life in casts. The object of his
grief, of his tenderness – the object with which
he lived & loved & labored a stranger unknown takes – takes the
wealth gained by hard labor and leaves an
empty abode to the parents – where they
weep solitary tears forgotten () while
other duties bind the daughter (to another breast)
Since then it has been long in my mind to
unite them – that the mother when I die may
not look for a home in a cottage of a strange
mother in law – but purposes are vain
when God opposes them, – so dr. Wiesƚaw I
leave thee to thy will – By thy neighbor
to counsel thee. He may so with thee
