As an enhancement In aggravation of the supposed injury,
your Memorialist has heard the quantity of capital
invested in buildings and other improvements
within the circle of the neighbourhood in question, whatever
extent may be meant to be given to that circle,
has been estimated at about £200,000. Your
Memorialist has no suspicion of any thing like
exaggeration in this estimate: were he had he been obliged to guess,
he should rather have expected to find it the such a sum short of the
truth than beyond the truth it. But in
speaking of this value, gentlemen speak of it as
if a great part, there is no saying how great, but
a very great part of it would be lost destroy'd. Here it is that
your Memorialist has the mortification or the satisfaction

any such an effect has been produced by such a
cause. The damage, if there were any, would be
damnum sine injuriâ: but no damage even can be
seen: so far from it, instead of damage he sees advantage: and in this opinion, as will be seen presently
