Before he concludes, it may be proper for Your Memorialist
that here to mention, that in obedience to Your Lordships' said
direction as signified by the said letter of Mr
Secretary Long dated
bearing date the 20th of Feby last Your
Memorialist proceeded forthwith to treat with treat
the several perches for the buying out of the
existing Leases therein mentioned on the said Salisbury Estate:– that he found
no unwillingness to treat or in the instance of
any of the parties concerned, but and that by means although although it may be some time yet before he it will be may have it in his power he will be able to make to make
of the number of the said parties and divers
other circumstances of difficulty he has not yet been able
to collect the documents requisite for writing
this
a compleat report, relative to the whole amount of their
several claims. Yet he has reason to believe be satisfied received the requisite assurances
that for on payment of a moderate sum he could at any
time obtain have possession of a quantity such portion of land as
which would be, would be sufficient for the immediate site of the building
on whereon be and which from the experiments borings
he has been allowed to make in places and other observations he has made he
looks upon as the best adapted for that purpose.
And Your Memorialist hereupon begs leave to say
that for the sum of £500, if it were Your Lordships
pleasure to advance the same to him on
account, he would undertake to procure obtain the immediate
possession of such portion as above mentioned, the
surplus of such sum of £500, if any, to be carried
to the account of the remainder of the sum to be
issued for the buying out of the said Leases. Your
