of pecuniary loss is to be seen, sacrifice from of if considered in the shape of income £512 a year from

Milbank Penitentiary Estate from 1800 to 25 March

1792 £14,450: per contra capital received October 1799 by purchase money of

money received August 1794 £2000 (rent not
more than about £1,880) say together say however for round
numbers, £14,000: being about £500 less than capital sacrificed.

Separable from of this account, the money paid for the land
being but £12,000m it can not surely be too much for Mr
B. to claim that, leaving all further compensation to take its
chances, the present estimated value of that land whatever it may
be, may be paid to him in part of compensation, at the time
of its being given up: value to be settled by referees in the first instance, or, they not
agreeing either a limited term valuation by a Jury, as in the
case of the originally intended Penitentiary Ground at Battersea
Rise.
