Evidence
What was is that mere case to be reconciled to? In a penal case
was the defendant to be reconciled to punishment? – the idea
was worthy of the execution of Don Carlos.† This however The
absurdity would have been too palpable: according to penal cases
accordingly it does not appear not even in idea to have ever been extended.
Will this be the case suppose a non-penal a non-penal one. The plaintiff,
suppose him in one of these offices, what was to be his fate? become of
him? Was he to have his right, or not to have it? If yes,
how was he to get it? and to that as to one if he got it, in
what respect was this office with a its hypocrite name different
from any Court of justice. If no, behold what comes are the blessed fruits of
reconciliation, and the sort of office that is to effect it.
Stripped of its hypocrite covering, a Reconciliation Office is a sort of an
office instituted set up to prevent a man's having his right, nor is nor
this injury deemed sufficient, but means are to be employed
such as the manager may be pleased to employ, to force him
to shake hands with the oppressor, to force him to declare profess himself
reconciled to the injustice.
