Offences against Condition - - Adultery.
as Deviation who gains upon them still. Cullione finding it impossible to escape, proposes to drop
the child: Cullione at length unwillingly consents..
He drops it, and before Deviation can come
up to save it, it is carried off by a wolf a wolf spies it and devours it.
Such then are the inconveniences resulting from
the unlimited license of risking those pleasures whenever
they are to be found. Pyrrha having enjoyed
the pleasures of love and the pleasure of having
children finds herself ask deprived wholly of
the first mentioned former and in a great degree of the latter.
Deviation after enjoying the former pleasures to
a somewhat greater degree though not much greater
than he might have enjoyed them with Pyrrha
gets soundly beaten and at last finds himself
in a condition worse then her's. Sophrenia
and Callistus never so much as talks of these
pleasures: and an infant perishes miserably being
deserted by it's mother.
