Mendacity licence
suits
In like manner, to the list of Equity
suits may be added a list of Common Law Suits,
in which, in virtue of the mendacity licence, Special
Pleading has been employed. At the very first meeting,
in this case too, off fly all the lies, such alone, if any
as are such there be, as are intended to be maintained
by false affirmation: at the hazard of punishment: off they fly,
exactly as in the case of the Equity Suit, as above.

Convening on slisher-calling (suppose),
the name given to this species of mandate. Summons,
an appellation rather too extensive: summons
being employed in cases other than those in which
the thing desired to be done is — the repairing to the
place from which the mandate issued.
