3. Further means instrument or efficient cause of
simplicity. Employing throughout the same location for giving the
expression of designation to the same ideas.

Suppose for example a Code in which for the giving
expression to each idea in several locations all different from
one another in this or that particular are employed. The
consequence is that in this account taken by itself a Code
in which the dictates of the simplicity giving principle is are conformed to will
be as simple as the Code in which they are above in the manner abovementioned
to negociated not conformed to.

4. Where a determinate assemblage of specific objects
requires to be several times brought to view, employing in the first instance in apt
generic names for the designation of the whole assemblage, and
thenceforward employing such generic names instead of the
list of specific names. Simplicity has in this case simplicity
have for its efficient cause conciseness: a quality which will
moreover be seen to be subservient to correctness and
compleatness.
