<p>If in the above observations there be any thing that<lb/>
appears <add>presents itself</add> or <del>the</del> at the same time well founded <add>justly</add> and<lb/>
of sufficient importance to call for adoption <add>practical <unclear>enforcement</unclear></add><lb/>
it will not be found chargeable with <del>being stale and useless</del><lb/>
having been rendered useless by <add>any the</add> antecedent labours of <add>in the</add><lb/>
authoritative hands.  &#9758; Alter the expression.</p>
<p>The subject has been touched upon by <del>the</del> two successive<lb/>
Committees on Finance, that of 1797 <del>and</del> 1798 and<lb/>
that of 1807 1808 hence successively applied to this<lb/>
subject the powers of their Honourable minds.</p>
<p>By both of them those <del>the</del> sources of emolument<lb/>
are regarded, with the most perfect composure <gap/>. are<lb/>
brought <add>held up</add> to view in company with pensions and spoken<lb/>
of as if not distinguished from those other sources of<lb/>
emolument by any considerable difference.</p>

Ch. 1. Opinions of Commissioners and Committes on Finance.
§. 1. General Observations – Introduction

If in the above observations there be any thing that
appears presents itself or the at the same time well founded justly and
of sufficient importance to call for adoption practical enforcement
it will not be found chargeable with being stale and useless
having been rendered useless by any the antecedent labours of in the
authoritative hands. ☞ Alter the expression.

The subject has been touched upon by the two successive
Committees on Finance, that of 1797 and 1798 and
that of 1807 1808 hence successively applied to this
subject the powers of their Honourable minds.

By both of them those the sources of emolument
are regarded, with the most perfect composure . are
brought held up to view in company with pensions and spoken
of as if not distinguished from those other sources of
emolument by any considerable difference.
