that they should be heard throughout <add>by a Jury</add>, tried with the benefit<lb/>
of all the evidence, and all the observations required by that<lb/>
evidence, is matter of physical impossibility.</p>
<p>In English practice causes of this description, are in<lb/>
great numbers submitted in show and pretence to the cognizance<lb/>
of a Jury.  What is impossible is to try the cause <add>do the business</add>.<lb/>
What is not impossible, is – to receive the fees <add>reward for doing it,</add> in pretence of<lb/>
trying it.</p>
<p>Receiving money on false pretences is in some cases,<lb/>
felony:  but these are <del>whethe</del> where the eceivers are weak and<lb/>
helpless:  subject to the laws, not makers of <del>those</del> laws on pretence<lb/>
of being declarers.</p>

4. Class the 4th. Causes which by reason of their complexity,
