Quest. 1. Building

Annuity, which was all to convenience till the means of payment had been
extracted from the concern for by success. Besides his testament signed as will be inbred probity of which
from intimate acquaintance I had derived full assurance, it was thus
by the terms of my engagement rendered his interest to put the
compleatest exclusion possible upon all unnecessary expence — It
was upon the facts ground of his opinion repe continual assurances together with that those of my Brother
that I in my ignorance, ventured to charge myself with the expence of erecting the a
necessary buildings sufficient/competent for the purpose for so small a sum as £27,000, money of that time.
Neither I nor my Brother know at present of any person by whom, that
loss could be replaced. And at present in regard to my Brother Whatever occasional advice and information,
in case of a fresh contract actually entered into, I might be able to obtain from my Brother him no case
of a fresh Contract actually entered into, at present considering the present complexion in the present state and
complexion of the business, he would I am certain be as far from being willing,
as from being for some time he would be from being able, to bestow any the least attention as consistently with his official duties he would for such time be from being able
to on it. to give any the least time to it.

3. A Foreman Another professional man in whose whose unremitted attention, as
well as shall in those a shape in the character of Foremen, a dep our dependence was, and
in particular
for the putting together
No iron work upon a plan never attempted before who the frame work which was to be of iron upon a plan never before
contemplated, and of the existence where upon the stoppings put to the works
we found ourselves under the necessity of parting with (a
Mr Lloyd) has been engaged in business for himself, and and has since given proof
of his capacity by raising making a very ample fortune
in a very extensive concern of his own, which engrossing
the whole of his time, deprives me of all hope of him his
assistance in part, in any such character as before above

I am this pa If by being this particular I occupy
more of the Committee's time then could be wished, it is
to clear in the view of standing as clear in the sight of
the Committee as I do in my own conscience, if all
attempts endeavours at and undue concealment, and
it seemed the desire tendency of Honourable Gentlemen to render my
statements as as possible.
