<p>To this head will be seen to belong two sorts of Judicatories<lb/>
which are in use to be instituted <add>in operation</add> for two purposes<lb/>
which <del><gap/></del> however different in denomination agree in their<lb/>
most characteristic and distinguishing attributes.</p>
<p>1.  Of those common characteristics the principal one is<lb/>
and that an <unclear>effectual</unclear> one is this – on the occasion of the<lb/>
enquiry carried on between the <del><gap/></del> parties <add>party and party</add> on the opposite<lb/>
sides <add>opposition of interests</add> antagonization on the field of interests has place,<lb/>
but not, unless by accident, actual contestation.</p>
<p>2.  From this principal <add>characteristic</add> attribute arises another<lb/>
which accordingly may be termed a derivative one.  The<lb/>

G Instruments to the Legislature

To this head will be seen to belong two sorts of Judicatories
