True a commission was set in foot. But we protest against
this commission as being as gross in result as now was offered by
by human craft to human understanding by the ruling few
to the understanding of the subject many: a commission appointed by
Associates of or dependants of the Earl of Eldon appointed by the Earl of
Eldon to bring to view any misdeed which in the execution of
his Office may have been produced committed by Lord Eldon: [with as well as
might it have a commission be given a charge to those who are
suffering in the Hulks to report upon the practices of those who are
proposed enlisting themselves to follow those to association with a view to diminish the number]
as well might a commission be given to a company of receivers of
stolen goods to devise upon the most efficient system of exp course that could be taken
for the prevention of larceny.

We are prepared to shew that the course taken by these
creatures of the Lord Chancellor has been exactly such as might have could not but
have been looked for from their situation and that of their creator.
