<p>For the sake of the profit upon the expence <add>costs</add>, the technical<lb/>
system, in proportion as it has been allowed to give determination to<lb/>
the law has had for its object the generation and <unclear>acquisitation</unclear> of<lb/>
costs – the <gap/> <del><gap/></del> at the expence of the rest of the community<lb/>
the fraternity of lawyers.</p>
