If the whole list of maleficent acts which by appropriate
punishment the greatest happiness principle requires to
be converted into offences, are denominated, have received their several appropriate denominations, and their denominations
have been entered under their several heads into the Table of Offences in the Offence
Table, the matter it follows that in some way
or other the whole matter of the aggregate of Particular Codes
must in some way or other have been comprehended under
the denom aggregate of the denominations instanced in
the list of General Code: and, how in great the
inconsistency may at first appear to be such however upon examination
will be found to be the fact. For so it is, the case
will be found to be, that the evil whatsoever it be, for the evidence exclusion
of which this or that article in this or that one of the Particular
Codes will be found included in the evil in contemplation
