11 That this Board should be the receivers and disbursers of all monies paid
in different ways by the public for objects of Police. Viz:

1 The Money paid out of the Civil List Revenue for the expence
of the Police Establishment at Bow Street average about } 6000
2 The Money paid out of the Consolidated fund for the expence of the
Seven Public Offices by the act of 32 Geo dd £2000 each Office } 14000
3 The Money voted by Parliament from time to time for
Convicts at Langston & the Thames average Per Estimates
presented to the Select Committee of Finance } 30000
4 The Money voted by Parliament from time to time for
Transporting and maintaining Convicts in New South
Wales & Norfolk Island Per Estimate presented to the Select
Committee of Finance } 30,000

5 The money paid out of the Civil List & expended in defraying
the expence of criminal prosecutions & in paying rewards
&c &c by the Sheriffs & Judges supposed to average about – 20,000

If to these sums are added what is paid by the Treasury &
other departments of Government for criminal prosecutions
only the amount might nearly stand as follows Viz:

Treasury through the Solicitor on an average of
4 Years for Treason Sedition &c &c& – £5500
Idem Mint preservations for base Coin 1400£ & 600£ – 2000
Stamp Office for Lottery Offences – 2000
Post office presumed Robbery for Nails & Money &c about – 1000
Admiralty for pillage & embezzlement presumed
for criminal prosecutions – 1000
Ordnance & Garrison &c for Criminal prosecutions
average presumed about – 500
Customs and Excise presumed for criminal
prosecutions only – 2000 15,000
Total annually £115,000
