But in the middle of the chain string, comes in the conjuncted
conjunction and, and separates divides the whole groupe company
into two groupes: in one we have the said Treasurer or
his deputy: in the other the Clerk of the Checque or his
Chief Clerk.

Now then between these two groupes – or discarding setting
aside principals subordinates as being under the orders of their respective principals, and confining the consideration operation to subordinates
the principals are there what was it the
intention intended should be done between these two? Was it
that each should of himself by himself keep open
an office? or was it that the two should join in the
keeping open of an office? But in the latter case
to what purpose, but or to what effect but that of disagreement
or inaction call upon two individuals, with
equal powers – each of them therefore with the power of
stopping the other, to join in the performance execution of this
most simple business? The Treasurer for example
herefor upon its being that the office shall be in the right wing, the Clerk of the Checque that it shall be in the
left wing – in which wing then is it to be?

There there moreover these Deputies – of whom
in an number altogether indefinite indeterminate it is in one
event expected that they should join? .... But
were to attempt to go all these sources of uncertainty, by to lay them
all open to the – the task labour would have no end.
