§. Conditions of admittance

§. 3. Conditions of Admittance – or Locable who

Art. 1. No person is entitled admissible to serve as the capacity Law Practitioner
of professional lawyer, whose name does not stand upon
an official list kept for that purpose – say the Law Practitioners
list.

Art. Of the several persons qual entitled to serve
in this capacity in the each Judicatory a list is kept in the custody
of the Registrar: it is entitled intituled The Lawyers list.

Art. When entered on the list of any one
Immediate Judicatory a lawyer is entitled to have it entered on the
list of every other Judicatory, Appellate as well as Immediate,
as also in the Office of the Justice Minister.

Art. No person is entitled to serve as a
professional Lawyer or to have his name entered upon the list until in the character of probationary
Lawyer or for shortness probationer he has served
(four) service years.

Art. Of a probationary lawyer the first
service year is served in the Visitors Gallery in the character of Judicial
Visitor, as per Ch. XV: his service year being composed of the
same number of hours as that of a Judge Depute permanent
as per Ch. XIV §. 17 Locable who and registered in the same manner.

Art. The other three service years may be
served either in the character of Judicial Visitor or in the
character and under the title of Professional Lawyer Gratuitous substitute or Assistant lawyer
to persons unable to without assistance to act as litigants for themselves,
and at the same time unable to purchase professional assistance.

Art. To entitle him to serve in this capacity he
must have been deputed located on the occasion of each and deputed located
either by the Judge, the Depute Pursuer General principal or Depute
permanent such the Register must the act of deputation be registered
must have been entered upon the Register.
