How can a Jury<lb/>in a Civil Case, separate the evidence from the<lb/>representations given of it by Counsel, and perhaps<lb/>the partial account given by the Judge in his<lb/>charge? He that believes in the doctrine of prejudging,<lb/>without a fee on an intelligible motive<lb/>to help him, is fit for believing in witchcraft.</p> <p>But his Lordship triumphantly informed<lb/>the Learned Sergeant, that if he thought otherwise<lb/>than himself respecting the benefit of such publications,<lb/>he should apply to the Legislature to alter<lb/>the Law — that was a home thrust.
