of them was not, in any degree, <add>or by any means</add> the result of pr a bona fide misconception or
inadvertence — but that on the contrary wilful,deliberate,
and obstinate — the repugnance, between the intentions
as declared in each letter, and the will of Parliament
as declared in the Acts, on which these intentions
were pretended to be grounded — being a circumstance, of
which, from the first to the last, Mr King was
conscious: and that this criminal consciousness
is, prima facie at least, to be impartial to
Mr Duter — the Principal Secretary — by whom the letter
was signed — he inasmuch as in that he declares in express
terms that he has examined the said Acts — and
that he understands the object of them.
