nature . In one point of view it may be consider'd
as a species of defamation , in as far as it
tends to lessen the comparative reputation of any competitors .
In another point of view it may be consider'd
as a roundabout species of defraudment : in as-much
as it tends the design of it is to attract from the customer a
profit which but for the falshood would not have
accrued . In a third point of view it may be consider'd
as a species of destruction , in as much as
it tends to destroy as to the competitors the chance of the profit
they would might otherwise have made .
