<p>Let us now turn to the words of the Draught.<lb/>
Tit. IX. Art. 1. No action shall be received in<lb/>
matters of a civil nature in the District-Court<lb/>
between Parties [both] situated within the jurisdiction<lb/>
a [one and the same] Judge of the Peace, either<lb/>
in a Town, or in the Country, if the Pursuer<lb/>
has not given, at the top of his certificate of<lb/>
summons, <del>a co</del> [exploit] a copy of the <add>a</add> certificate<lb/>
of the Peace-Office composed of the Judge of the<lb/>
Peace and his Good-men-and-true, attesting<lb/>
that the adverse party has been ineffectually summonsed<lb/>
before the Peace-Office, or that that<lb/>
Office has ineffectually <sic>employ'd</sic> its mediation.<lb/>
In <del>the</del> case <del>a</del> both parties appear before the<lb/>
Office, it shall draw up a <add>summary</add> Record of their allegations,<lb/>
