Turnpike-Surveyors and Tollgatherers.
Observations.

Sect. ViI of less Law, & that better: in point of bulk, it is upon this that it depends whether the Law as to so
much of it shall be of a given bulk, or of a hundred times as much; in point of propriety, as the
number of occasions, throughout the Law, on which a clause to a given effect comes to be demanded, is
to unity, so is the chance which that clause has, of being well expressed on every one of them, if [it
is to be] worded for every one in the same manner, to that which it has, if [it is to be] worded differently
on each.
