inventive - the graphi-

composition of the laws may be distinguished into two branches
the first may be stiled the or inventive branch; the
other the graphical or grammatical. By the
inventive branch I mean that which occupies
itself about the conduct which the legislation

to observe: by the graphical or grammatical
branch I mean that which occupies itself about
the course to be taken for the describing
of such conduct.
