Standard of interpretation, what the text
The examples that occur are put only to explain,
not to restrain the purport of the text.
Let the text be taken for the standard. It is the
text that ought to be kept principally in view
in order to judge whether a given case fall within
the Law. The examples that are given are pr
designed only to explain not to restrain the purport
of the text. Let the text be the standard
of interpretation.

Commentaries forbidden
If any comment should be written on
this code, with a view of printing out what is the sense thereof let no man pay any regard to it.
Such comment shall not be cited in any court
of Justice. In no manner whatsoever let it be
cited: neither by express nor by any circuitous
designation.
